Our sister company, AIM (Akrivis Instrumentation and Monitoring), has been awarded the provision of the Monitoring and Instrumentation Services on Metrolix’s Finch West LRT Project.
The 11 kilometer-long light railway transit will connect the Northwest Toronto to the subway and to transit services from York Region, Peel Region and everywhere in between. The project includes 18 stops, including below-grade terminal stop and an underground interchange station at Toronto Transit Commission’s (TTC) Finch West Subway Station.
The total value awarded for the instrumentation and monitoring portion of this project is approximately $5.2M where our proficient team at AIM will provide all aspects of the Monitoring and Instrumentation requirements during construction.
Of the above designated project value, over $1M will be utilized for the installation of monitoring devices at depths ranging from 1.2 m to 50 m below ground surface. Our accomplished Geotechnical team at SIRATI will be conducting the drilling and installation of the monitoring devices portions of this project.
AIM was incepted in 2018 and is joint venture between Tarra Engineering and Structural Consultants and SIRATI & Partners Consultants Ltd., providing comprehensive and tailor-made geotechnical, structural, instrumentation and monitoring services.
